GratiPet is a simple journaling app with a tiny mood pet. We designed it so your entries stay on your device. This policy explains what data the app does (and does not) collect and how it is used.

Summary

  • No accounts and no sign‑in.

  • Your journal entries are stored on your device using Apple’s local storage.

  • We do not collect, sell, or share your personal data with third parties.

  • No advertising SDKs and no third‑party analytics.

Data We Handle

  • Journal entries you type (gratitudes and complaints) are saved locally on your device. You can edit or delete them in the app at any time.

  • Basic app settings (e.g., last opened build) are stored locally using Apple’s preferences.

Network Requests

When you request a quote, the app fetches a random quote from a third‑party quotes service directly from your device. As with any internet request, that service may receive your device’s IP address and standard technical information. No journal content or personal identifiers are sent.

Permissions

GratiPet does not request access to your contacts, photos, location, camera, or microphone. The app plays short sound effects using the system audio session.

Backups & Storage

Your data remains on your device and may be included in your personal device backups (e.g., iCloud or Finder backups) if you have them enabled. We do not control those backups. Deleting the app removes data stored on your device; removing data from your backups must be done in your device settings.

Children

GratiPet is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, please contact us and we will assist with deletion on the device.

Your Rights

Because we do not operate a server account for you, requests to access, correct, or delete your data can be fulfilled directly on your device by editing or deleting entries, or by uninstalling the app.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
